Perks of Working for Change

For the past few months have been attempting to give any extra time and energy I have towards volunteering for the Obama campaign. Besides becoming our local "volunteer coordinator" I've been making phone calls to Nevada to talk to voters in that important battle-ground state. A few weeks ago, the Northern CA team announced that they would be giving away a ticket to the volunteer who had made the most phone calls for a benefit luncheon featuring Caroline Kennedy in Sacramento. In short, I won! According to our phone banking coordinator, I made 845 phone calls (though my estimate was lower, but still higher than the person who came in second and the number of actual people I talked to is much lower). Tickets for this thing cost $2300! What do they serve at such an event? Guess I'll find out on Friday.
